Very odd hood design. When the hood is down, the end tabs make their own statement by projecting prominently, almost to the shoulders; the look is extremely unflattering to my eye.Their purpose is unclear, since the high neck of the jacket itself provides nice coverage/warmth of the neck; the tabs on the hood seemingly provide double neck coverage--at the expense of the overall look, when the hood is down. I can only wear this jacket with the hood tabs snapped (would rarely want to do this) or with the hood off; hood down on my back is not an option. Cute otherwise, but keeping?...not sure for the price. p.s. Really tire of --even dislike--the prominence of "Eddie Bauer" advertising at cuff of sleeves of outerwear; at least make it tonal (rather than contrast) stitching.
