Disappointed

1

Very disappointed. The belt feels like cardboard and appears to have some sort of coating on it. Seems more like bonded leather than pebbled leather. No leather quality to it other than at first glance it looks like leather. I wear size 2 or 4 pants, and I bought a small belt. On its last hole it is still a little too tight for me. Soooo disappointed and feel like there is some false advertising involved. I also feel like I will forever question the quality of Eddie Bauer items.

This Belt is Like Cardboard

I have purchased several belts from Eddie Bauer over the years and I have never purchased one that was this bad. I don't think this belt is leather at all, feels more like cardboard. Very disappointed.

Great Belt

It's a great belt for jeans and sharp looking. It runs a tad big.

OK belt

I have a dark tan leather "Jeans" belt from Eddie Bauer purchased a number of years ago that is made of beautiful soft leather and has withstood the tests of time, weathering ever so nicely. So, I was eager to order this black "version" when it was on sale. I was to be disappointed, however. The newer style does not appear to be a similar quality of leather in that is quite stiff, almost like bonded leather, and looks like it is ready to crease and crack with use. It is also a bit long for a medium, but that is because I am in between sizes for belts, so not a problem. I had a cobbler alter the one from years ago and it fit nicely. This new belt is not worth spending the money to have it modified. I guess I should have put more stock in the reviews of others who commented on the leather quality.
