She's in love!

My daughter is very finicky about quality and can often find something wrong with an item, but she loves these! She hasn't tried them on the slopes yet, but just being outside and taking our dog for a walk in January in Minnesota and she had no complaints? Well, trust me, that's saying something.

Love these Mittens! They work great for the Iowa winter. My

Great Gloves for Iowa winters, They keep your hands warm in the coldest weather.

They work!

I wore them to work, a 40 minute walk in 11 degree weather. My hands were cold when I started out but by the time I got there they were toasty warm. Also the mittens are flexible and not terribly bulky. I do have trouble slipping my hand through the zippered part when I want more dexterity. It works better to just pull the mitten off. The gloves inside are very nice, too. I am going to enjoy having these mittens in extremely cold weather. I always suffer with cold hands.

EB why not tell us what the insulation is? Very odd for an item of outerwear. The mitten itself is not very thick, and the palm doesn't have much insulation, regrettably. But the thumb does seem to have extra. I wish the tip of the mitten had extra insulation to keep fingertips warm -- the part of the hand that gets cold first and is hardest to warm up! (Maybe I should design next year's mittens?)I like the removeable gloves for tasks that require dexterity and being able to use an index finger and thumb without taking off the mitten.Haven't worn them for a long period in very cold weather so I don't know if the price will match the warmth. I usually wear a size 8 or 9 in gloves and the XL fits me fine. Suggestion: figure out a way to give an "r" rating to insulated clothing, as manufacturers do for sleeping bag pads.
