No quilting. No cold spots. This is down. Revolutionary new Thindown® fabric replaces traditional, high-loft down clusters with ultrathin down sheets, eliminating the need for quilting or channels. It also creates maximum thermal efficiency without bulk and, since the down is uniform throughout, there are no cold spots. You get all warmth, no puff, in a simple, streamlined design that delivers superior technical performance.

"This is the one jacket that's always in my pack. It's lightweight, warm, and super versatile. It does it all."

Very nice but not very warm

4

I do love this jacket. The color is beautiful, the shell is light and silky, the fit is very flattering. It's quite breathable. I bought it at a really great sale price, it's definitely not worth full price. It's not that warm, though. My Cirruslite down jacket is definitely much warmer, despite a similar temperature rating. This is because the real reason down is a good insulator is the loft. In this case, the loft is intentionally reduced (for the sake of vanity, lol) and the ability to insulate suffers for it. A "moderate activity" rating of -15F is a joke. Maybe cross-country skiing uphill on a sunny, windless -15 day? Still, it's great for easy hikes in 30 degree temps, great for hillier hiking in the twenties and great for the first ten minutes of cross country skiing in the teens, after which I take it off and stuff it in my pack, and to put on when back at the car.Did I say that I love this jacket?

Great Jacket!

Got as a Christmas gift, its a perfect lightweight yet very warm jacket. We live in Texas and it suits me great when we have colder days and nights.

Jacket seemed cheaply made

2

The jacket fit well and looked nice on, but it felt cheap. The cuffs were thin, and not stretchy enough to comfortably go over my hands. The zippers, though reinforced, felt cheap -- the zipper hardware was small and difficult to zip easily. The material of the jacket itself felt flimsy, and I feared I would snag it on something and rip it. For the price I paid, it was not worth the money, so I sent it back.

Light and Warm

5

I bought this jacket to bikepack because it's lightweight and packs small. I testing it out on a 30 degree bike ride with a long sleeve shirt underneath and it felt a bit cool through the shoulders but I couldn't believe how warm it is for being so lightweight. I did get pretty sweaty climbing and then got a little cold on the down which leads me to believe it does not breath well. At any rate, I love it. I think it's a great piece. It's a really comfortable jacket. You can't even tell you have it on. It would not be comfortable just standing in cold weather (25 or below), but for exercise, it's perfect. It would work well as a shell in really cold weather. I am 5'4 133 and the small is perfect.
