Womans Voyageur 2 Jacket is Much Better

1

I have 4 of the womans Voyageur 2 Travex Jackets with the Mandarin Collar. They are much better quality and style than the new Woman's Departure Blazer. I bought the Departure blazer and promptly returned it. The material is very light. I am sure it is durable, but the drape of the fabric and texture, as well as stylingdoes not compare at all to the Woman's Voyageur 2 jacket. Please don't stop making the Voyageur 2, Eddie Bauer! This new Departure is a down-grade and doesn't compare in anyway to the stylish and versatile Voyageur. I was very disappointed, for the first time in many years with a EB jacket. It is lacking in many regards.

Runs small as I wear a 12 and had to order a 16. Sleeves have to be adjusted as they a too long which is very unusual fo my long arms.

This blazer is made well overall, but the arms are a bit to narrow to wear comfortably over a sleeved shirt, and the material is a lot thinner than I expected for something described as a blazer. A better description is that it is a blazer style windbreaker.

A Winner!

I got this to replace a Daisy Wrap that I had worn out. I planned to buy the same wrap, then saw this. The fabric is similar and it has pockets and a button! I wore this nonstop on a 3 week trip to Europe and it was just the right layer, heavy enough on its own for warmer days and light enough to wear under my raincoat on cooler days. The button closure makes it more practical for windy days and the 3 (actually useful) pockets are great. I put key cards in the zip pocket and still had two good size pockets for my phone and miscellany. No wrinkling, and a more polished look than the Daisy wrap. I will be back to get the blue as well. I can't remember the last time I liked an EB product this much!
