Warm, Good features, Decent fit

Coat is a little tight in the shoulders but I am able to wear a hoodie underneath with no issues. Love the plush piece at the back of the neck to stop the wind from getting in and the buttons are attached with fabric so you can get a finger behind them to do them up easier. Wore it in the -35C (-31F) this week and it was decently warm while still being good in the -10C a few weeks ago. Only downside so far is that it does leak some feathers, but I haven't noticed it to be as bad as other reviews claim.Ordered an XL originally after reading previous reviews but found that it was visibly way too big. Exchanged for a large that fits much better. I'm 6'1, 195lbs.

Love the jacket. Needed an update from my other Eddie Bauer one from 7 yrs ago. My only complaint is that the front pockets (at the bottom) could do with a better fastening system as they kink of stay "open" otherwise, plenty of pockets and nice and warm. i also purchased the Tall version for my size, and so the arms are perfect (I must have longer than normal arms)

Fantastic Parka

5

This parka is built for the outdoorsman and working man. While the shell is nylon, it is not the thin nylon most parkas have. This shell is heavy woven and similar to a a thick army duck and the black portions of the shell are double layered. Extremely tough. I spent some time in it at 12 degrees with wind and no problem - it is warm and wind impervious. This is built like a military parka. Pockets are lined and very warm as well.I like the sleeve cuff and velcro strap as you can pull your hands up in the sleeve and still stick your fingers out to manipulate things. It has more pockets than you will ever need and a pleasant surprise I found was in the inner left breast sleeve. You will find an Eddie Bauer neck gator attached to a tether. Nice touch Eddie! The draw string is at the bottom so you can cinch it up. No wind going up your back here!It is roomy. I am 5'11 240 lbs with broad shoulders and 48 in. chest and with a 2XL still plenty of room for a sweater and light vest underneath. I also have a long torso and it still covers my back side. No cold buns here! Things I would change is the zipper is a bit wimpy for a parka of this magnitude. Could really use a big brass YKK. I would prefer a bit thicker fur around the hood but it does its job. It will leak some feather fuzz (not actual feathers) on you but that doesn't bother me. For the money this parka cant be beat so I can deal with it.
