I had some Eddie Bauer hikers a few years ago, and I loved them. So, when I was looking for a new pair, I picked these up on a half price sale. They looked good, and felt good in the store. I walked approximately 9 miles in them over 2 days. The balls of both feet blistered so badly, I was limping for a week. I have done a lot of walking in all types of shoes. I have never had anything like that happen in my 64 years. I returned them, and I guess I'll be looking elsewhere for shoes from now on. I had heard that the Eddie Bauer hikers were not what they used to be, but I figured I'd take the chance. Bad, and painful mistake. Too bad, they used to be great.
