Well made parka, cut to fit over medium layering (If you ever need it, but not likely}. Shipping was fast and it arrived a day early. Great pricing with the 50% discount. Super service. I ordered a tall and even at 6' 2" it was too long in the length and sleeves. Took it back to a local store and no problem with the exchange. Great customer service and you just CAN NOT argue with the LIFETIME GUARANTEE. We WILL continue to be a long term customers...
I bought this as a commuter coat, in that regard it works perfectly. I wear this to commute to work in downtown Chicago. I have worn this in light, hard rain and during a min-snow storm in November. It kept me warm and dry. Thankfully it has a two way zipper so i can sit(mostly stand) on the bus. It is warm, waterproof, good number of pockets to put my gloves, cell phone and hat. With this coat, I only need to wear one layer, usually just a vest and i am warm which is a good thing because wearing a fleece zip up fits a bit too tight. It also decently windproof.I have worn this in light/heavy rain and during a mini snowstorm, it kept me warm and dry. If you want a coat that you can throw on with just a button down dress shirt, a fleece vest, not worry if it is going to rain or snow, this is your commuter coat.
Ordered this for my tall husband, and the XL Tall fit beautifully, which isn't always the case, a big plus. We loved the look of it, the Carbon was a great color, it seemed warm enough when tested briefly outside, had high hopes that this warm and weatherproof and long-enough jacket would serve all purposes for an upcoming winter trip. But the pockets seemed oddly placed -- the breast pockets were too high to be comfortable as hand-warmers and the slanted side pockets were at an uncomfortable angle to be useful for travel. Those dandy square cargo pockets with two openings would have been perfect -- we knew this jacket didn't have them but what it has wasn't close enough. It does have an inside pocket, which was good. We were sorry to have to return it -- thanks for making the return easy. (Size notes here refer to him, not me).
