Nice jacket

Nice, well-made jacket. Good looks, functionality and durability. Probably not extremely useful down to the lowest temp rating advertised. I'd like the collar to be constructed so it lays flat better. The fleece on the collar is nice, though.

Warm but Needs a Little Improvement

I've worn this jacket for the past few months around town, at the sporting clays range and while doing some work in the yard and it's held up pretty well, so far. It is very warm and lightweight and did a great job keeping me comfy at the sporting clays range on a 40 deg. F morning with just a long sleeve, cotton dress shirt underneath. The jacket is true to size but still has enough room to wear a sweater underneath for extra cold days. There are 2 interior pockets to hold shooting glasses or other small items. The nylon material used on the shoulders, lower sleeves and posterior of the jacket is durable and the jacket is a bit longer in the back, which helped to keep my hindquarters warm. It also moves well when mounting a shotgun and didn't restrict my movements. However, the nylon material used to cover the shoulder area is too slick and I had my shotgun slip off my shoulder on several occasions when I fired it, leaving a bruise on my bicep. The right collar tab where it contacts the zipper is very stiff and had an annoying habit of poking into my neck. If these 2 problems are corrected, this jacket would be perfect for upland hunting or sporting clays shooting on cold days. As it is now, I would probably wear a blaze orange hunting vest over it on cold days when quail hunting to ensure a proper gun mount.

Nice jacket!

I bought this jacket at a great price so I'm happy about that. I love the look and comfort. It's not bulky and is good for layering underneath. My only concern is with the tiny feathers that keep coming out. Will this ever stop? I'm afraid there won't be enough feathers left to keep me warm. Otherwise, I'm happy with the jacket.

This alone will not keep you warm

I bought this jacket to replace my husband's worn out winter jacket. This has no lining and is more suited as a shell or a fall jacket. Would not be suitable for a Kentucky winter. The jacket was also a bit boxy on my husband but he does have a slim frame. It did seem to be good quality but it shouldn't be advertised as a -10 degree jacket...there's no would freeze without a hefty sweater.
