New fabric and insulation technologies provide next level warmth, comfort, mobility, and convenience. The stretch nylon is lightweight, soft, flexible, and super-breathable. Everything you need while active in cold weather. Wear alone or layer under a shell for alpine climbing, backcountry skiing, or hiking.

"I left it on from the trailhead at 7400' to about 9400' moving at about 1750 vertical feet/hour. Everyone else had already peeled a layer, but I wanted to test the breathability. I was surprised how long I went before I got too hot. Normally I would have been in a Sandstone or a T-shirt."

Near perfect jacket

This jacket is great for all the reasons others have mentioned. It is incredibly breathable and you don't get overheated. Even coming inside from the cold you don't need to shed the layer. I'll also add that unlike many other EB jackets which are made for giants, this one has a slim fit and the sleeves are a reasonable length. I am especially impressed by the warmth an fit of the hood, which is very thin, but kept my head and neck warm at 30 degrees with zero activity.Note that in order to keep the jacket breathable they did trade off some wind resistance. It's still pretty good at blocking the wind, but when there is a strong, straight-on gust of wind, I could feel it.At the sale price this jacket is a steal. Two points of feedback for the product team:- please add a storm flap behind the zipper to help with strong, straight-on winds- add a soft fleece lining where the hood hits the chin.

Great Jacket

After considering a less costly jacket I settled on this one and glad I did. The jacket fits me like a glove, so to speak and is just as comfortable at 0 deg as it is at 35 deg. Water repellency is good in the wet snow, but I would not think it would do all that well in rain. This jacket is well worth the money and comes highly recommended by me.

Comfortable Lightweight Warmth

Very well designed and amazingly comfortable. I've been looking for something like this from EB and now they've finally offered it. The IgniteLite Flux Stretch Hooded Jacket is a fantastic mid-layer or a comfortable casual outer layer. A generous amount of PrimaLoft makes it light and warm. I had a chance to test it over several hours outside while walking with only a tee shirt underneath in low 40 degree weather and it was very comfortable. I never got cold. It's a perfect mid-layer under my BC Igniter Stretch Jacket when I travel to northern California. It's true to size. I'm 5'9 and 180 lbs. 43" chest, 32" waist. I usually take a large in EB clothing and the Flux Stretch Hooded Jacket was a good fit in that size.

Great Jacket!

This might be the most comfortable jacket I've ever owned. Not quite accurate to say I haven't taken it off since I bought it, but close - very soft and cozy. Haven't done extensive bushwhacking in it yet, but material seems snag resistant. Remained dry in a drizzle. It seems completely windproof and still somehow breathes. I've worn it all day - indoors, unzipped, in a cold house (that comfy thing) and then hiking in low 40s, wind blowin' a gale, with just a shirt, and have been neither sweaty or cold. Not sure how warm it will be in much lower temps but think with sensible layering it will be fine for most days this winter. Hood fits tight to head and jacket zips to chin - not high fashion but much warmer than gaiter and hat, and material is quiet so I can hear with hood up. Size: I'm a 5'2" /135 pound athletic woman. Buy men's clothes because women's are too tight in shoulders and upper arms (and colors and cut generally suck). Bought a small. It's longer than optimal in torso but otherwise fits fine. Easily roomy enough on me for a sweater underneath. Picked up this jacket on 1/2 off sale - have other jackets and probably would not have been able to rationalize purchase at full price. Really glad I got it.
