This might be the most comfortable jacket I've ever owned. Not quite accurate to say I haven't taken it off since I bought it, but close - very soft and cozy. Haven't done extensive bushwhacking in it yet, but material seems snag resistant. Remained dry in a drizzle. It seems completely windproof and still somehow breathes. I've worn it all day - indoors, unzipped, in a cold house (that comfy thing) and then hiking in low 40s, wind blowin' a gale, with just a shirt, and have been neither sweaty or cold. Not sure how warm it will be in much lower temps but think with sensible layering it will be fine for most days this winter. Hood fits tight to head and jacket zips to chin - not high fashion but much warmer than gaiter and hat, and material is quiet so I can hear with hood up. Size: I'm a 5'2" /135 pound athletic woman. Buy men's clothes because women's are too tight in shoulders and upper arms (and colors and cut generally suck). Bought a small. It's longer than optimal in torso but otherwise fits fine. Easily roomy enough on me for a sweater underneath. Picked up this jacket on 1/2 off sale - have other jackets and probably would not have been able to rationalize purchase at full price. Really glad I got it.
