Toasty warm

Very warm and just enough dexterity to be functional. I don't have a problem like the other posters have had in regards to the length of the fingers. I can take them off in 20-degree weather for a minute then put them back on and warm up quickly.

Very warm, but too large and difficult to do anything with

These mitts are very warm. My hands can sweat in these. The materials are great and the quality is the usual Eddie Bauer that I've come to expect: excellent. However, I cannot recommend these if you need dexterity. Problem with these gloves is that the end where your hand first goes in are too large and thus difficult to get the glove in the jacket, unless you put the gloves on first and then put your jacket on after... then comes the tricky part: zipping your jacket. I get frustrated with these because I have to often take them off my hands to do basic things, then when putting the gloves back on, they look very messy because the "cuffs" aren't in the jacket. And in -20 degree weather, I'm not taking my jacket off to put the gloves back on properly.I'd only recommend these gloves if your going out with them and your confident you won't need to take them off.

Fingers to long.

I do not have short fingers. Rather longer than average. These mitts have to long fingers, devastating dexterity. Must return.

Warm and still somewhat functional, What I've been looking 4

I got these for extreme cold weather (zero and below) winter photography and bought the XL so I could put a liner under them. Otherwise a Large fit fine to my bare hand which is my normal clove size. So far I have worn them at zero and they were just what I was hoping for. Somewhat hard for dexterity but they are think and warm. Thats a trade off with every glove it have looked at. I also have a older pair of cold weather mittens then I have used in the past. These seem to have more dexterity. On sale, they are a very good value.
