Great Pants, Low Durability on Pockets

4

I bought these pants in April of 2018. I put them to good use on a scramble beginning of August. After some moderate hiking, the stitches of the left hand zipper pocket came out, leaving a small hole at the bottom of the pocket. Otherwise, the fabric is very comfortable and abrasion resistant. Would be much better heavier stitching on the pocket.

What happened to Eddie Bauer

I'm so proud for been a loyal costumer of eddie bauer products since 15 years ago. Recently, I've bought several products that, for my surprise, it doesn't have the same quality that I've always found trough this brand. In my recent order. I bought 1 MR GUIDE PRO PANT, expecting to have the same quality and materials of a couple of Guide Pro shorts that I've been using for 12 years (I'm a filmmaker), but instead of that, I have a well looking pants that I've used only twice, and washed in delicate cycle one time, and it started to loose threads. The fabric isn't that good and strong as it use to be in the previous products. It isn't the same product anymore. I'm buying a top quality product but I'm feeling that I'm receiving a cheaper one

Great pants a couple years ago; newer version not so great.

I bought my first pair of these pants several years ago and LOVE them. Excellent fit, great look and feel, durable, easy to line-dry and stain-free thus far. I still wear them. This pair's tag says it was made in Bangladesh. I bought two more pair around Q2 2018 so I would have a couple other colors to wear. The tags for these newer pants state they're made in Sri Lanka. The stitching on the newer pants is constantly coming loose at the back pockets, knees, belt loops, and button, and the alignment of the zippers longitudinal to the side pockets is off by a 1/4"+. These are not meant to be a one-season pant, and I can no longer recommend them.
