Just like normal guide pro pants they fit at the waist and calf perfect just order 1" down from normal pant size due to stretch. These have to go back to the store though. The leg zippers do not stretch and since it's a tailored fit the legs are tourniquet tight just above the knee. I'm 6"2 180lbs so I'm not sure how skinny you have to be to make these work. A+ for effort but complete fail for hiking. I'll check back yearly to see if this gets fixed. I see I'm not the only person with this issue.
Love me some EB but you guys can do a little bit better with these pants. Number the quality is superb per usual, the problem lies in two areas.1. The aggrandizing logo on the front, why? One of the main things I love about EB is that they pride themselves on the quality of the clothes and most times don't see it necessary to turn a buyer into a walking billboard with a huge logo. Welp, this isn't one of those times.2. Where the short ends and the zip-offs begin is EXTREMELY snug. Granted, I'm an athletic 6'2", 200 lb man, but not one with what folks would consider huge thighs, just normal ones. With these pants the "separation zone" is so snug that I feel will cause some chaffing on future hikes. Something I'm seriously not looking forward to.All in all, I was on the fence about returning these but decided to keep them rather than deal with the hassle of exchanging and hope that the logo and snugness grow on me, if you will. If you're good with these two issues I recommend these pants, but if not, look at other options.
I enjoy the fit and stretch fabric.
