nice jacket but odd fit

Fit is big and boxy. I liked the older First Ascent gear that didn't have the Eddie Bauer logo

Jacket not as shown, extremely poor customer service

1

Ordered from the website as a gift. There is no media port. There is no pack bag as shown and there is no ability to "Stow easily in left hand pocket that has carabiner clip-in loop". Called customer service twice - on hold for 60 minutes the first time, 30 minutes the second time with no answer. E-mailed also, with no response. Extremely disappointed.

There down jacket sizing is horrendous!

1

The sizing is there down jacket line as a wholeis flat out terrible. I'm 6'6, 235lbs with a 17.5" neck, 38" arm length. The neck size on and LT & XLT (tall size) is easily 23"!!! The purpose of the zip up neck in cold weather is to fit somewhat snug to keep the cold out. Look at the pictures on people online wearing them when you google the jacket and see them floating in it. Which I should have done prior. The waist/bottom on an XLT jacket is for someone wearing 45"+ pants or more.I eat 3 meals a day not 20. I wear a 38" pant size and proportional to my height/weight. It's like wearing a bell when you put the jacket on. I even bought alarge tall after I sent the XLT back and it was still massive. To repeat I'm 6'6" tall 235 pound with a 17.5 neck. Does it make any sense to anyone why that jacket would be too big for a person of my size? You answered right. It makes no sense. After this debacle I orded from LLBean and crossed my fingers. They nailed it. Sizing it exactly how it lists online and the quality is excellent. The Eddie Bauer jackets were nice quality but I'd have to put on another 100 pounds to where one. Thumbs down!! Waist of time.

Terrible communication

1

I ordered one jacket and had a lot of difficulty on your website and had to call in the order. Then I received 2 jackets and charged for both. I have been calling ever since I received the extra jacket. Hold times have been 45 minutes and once I finally got a person they told me there was nothing they could do. I asked to speak with a manger and held for another 30 minutes and hung up. This has been a terrible experience with a company that has been around a long time.
