great for a parent teaching a kid how to ski!
    Apr 1, 2019

As a single parent who grew up slalom racing, I wanted to afford my son the same opportunity. Since it is just the two of us, I bought this pack to help me carry both sets of skis so I could carry our boots with one hand and the other to keep him from slipping on the ice. Its great because now I don't have to make two trips to the car. Since he is only 4, there was no way he was going to be helpful in carrying the gear. I had no problem fitting a 1L hydration bag, extra gloves, tons of snacks, etc. I wouldn't want more space bc I think its hard to be skiing with a sloppy, heavy bag. I was impressed with quality, although the orange belt was too hard to disengage so i just carry a bungee cord. I know this was not the intention of the bag, but for what I needed it for, it was well worth it. I do find it is easier to fully pack the pouch, load the skis onto the bag and put them in the car attached. This way I can do a day trip, get him out of the car, throw on this bag and the boot bag and be on our way to the slopes in less than five minutes.

    Perfect Day Pack
    Feb 2, 2017

Perfect backpack for day trips. I recently used this pack for 3-days of skiing at Big Sky Montana. Perfect for hydration pack, food, extra gloves, extra layer, or goggles. Very light pack I barely noticed over 3-days of hard skiing.
