I finally have my Eddie Bauer parka back! After wearing my previous EB parka for 10+ years, it finally met its demise 2 years ago. Have been searching for a good replacement ever since but most had either had a weird fit, replaced snaps with cheap velcro (which destroyed my scarves), didn't have detachable fur (it gets destroyed with regular washing), were too heavy, too light or too short. This parka (with a couple of exceptions) is exactly what I was looking for. Perfect weight for our local temperature range, nice fit (unlike other reviewers, I didn't find this too tight across the shoulders), no velcro (except for a tiny inner pocket), good sleeve length, removable fur, generous hood, and convenient pockets. The only negatives are that I miss having a detachable hood and I wished there had been more color choices. I first purchased the Hunter (which is not like any Hunter I've ever seen) but sent it back and purchased the Storm. My previous EB parka had been a deep burgundy which I would have preferred. But overall, this is a wonderful parka.

I love this coat! It is comfortable enough to wear inside cold buildings. Just feels like a snuggly blanket. So far, it has been great for getting to work and back or other short stints outside in the 30 degree (F) weather. I do think it could be good for longer periods of time with enough layers. It will be great for walking the dogs in the Fall, or if the temperatures are between 35-50 (I do tend to run cold). I haven't noticed an issue with the shoulders being too tight as mentioned in other reviews- but it did get somewhat snug about the shoulders when zipped up the whole way to the neck. I bought an extra small- I'm 5'6" and about 112 pounds. Bust: 33, Waist: 28, Hips: 35. I do think I could fit a sweatshirt underneath.

I love this coat! I was looking for a waterproof parka for taking my dog on her daily 3-mile walks and this fits the bill. The relaxed fit means I can easily put a sweater on underneath without having to size up. I also like that there is a drawstring in the middle to accentuate the waist a bit so it doesn't look like a sack of potatoes. If you're sick of down puffers and looking for a warm cozy coat, I'd highly recommend.
