    Excellent pants excellent warranty
    May 31, 2020

I have been wearing these guide pro pants and shorts for about 6 years. I find them extremely comfortable and I love the zippered pockets. I fell safe carrying my credit cards and other important items in them. I still have have the original pants I purchased over 6 ago.I have about 10 pants and 5 shorts in varying colours. I have returned two pairs over the 6 years for pocket zippers that failed. The were repaired or exchanged for new. The warranty is excellent. The only time I not wearing them is is when I'm in dress pants or in jeans for the Calgary Stampede. I spend a lot of time hiking in the mountains and also I spend time in the south western US,(Nevada,Utah Arizona). The pants have held up extremely well, especially in the bottom cuff where I find many pants fail over time. Not these pants, they are as good as the day I bought them. My family members always rib me about having so many pairs. Like another poster above I also worry that one day they may not be available,so I make sure I have a decent supply to last for years LOL.

    had them for years
    May 28, 2020

I got hooked on these pants when the first accent logo used to be embroidered on, and I am still hooked on them. I use them from yard work in the house to hiking in the mountains and now they have become my everyday pants. After all the various design tweaks this year Eddie Bauer finally got the side pockets just right. It is not shown in pictures, but they stitched in a pocket sleeve so even if the outside stitching breaks you don't lose your stuff anymore. Way to go Eddie Bauer, now please just swap one velcro back pocket to zippered with it own sleeve.

    Beware of sizing change
    May 27, 2020

I just added a 6th pair to my fleet, and immediately noticed orange, contrasting stitching inside the waistband, whereas none of the previous pair had that. "New and improved"? That depends. My waist is 31" which usually means I settle for a 32" waist since very few pants are offered in a 31" waist. With the stretch in these pants, the 30" waist has fit just about perfect, until someone decided to change up the sizing, and keep it a secret. After returning four pair of 30" pants, I gave up and ordered a 32" waist. Well, what do you know, the "new" 32's fit just about the same as the "old" 30's. Thankfully, the return postage has been on them, but who ever thought it was a great idea to change the sizing, and keep it a secret, deserves to be demoted. Anyway, just a head's up. If the waistband stitching is orange, the sizing is a tick small. If it's the same color as the waistband material, it's a tick large. Aside from guessing your size, the pant is nicely thought out, and the freedom of movement is fantastic. The breathe very well, meaning they don't insulate very well. For me these are warmer weather pants only. My legs don't chill easily, but these don't cut it much below 45 degrees. That's okay, because I've got other pants for winter use.
