Unique rectangular quilting creates a more sleek silhouette. Snap-off hood with detachable faux-fur ruff. Now available in sizes ranging from Petite XS through Plus 3X.

Great Winter Jacket
"Lightweight but surprisingly warm. The fleece on the end of the sleeves and in the pockets is a nice touch for extra warmth. While functional, the coat also looks great, and I like the faux fur trimmed hood."

Comments about Women|Outerwear|Parkas Women's Lodge Down Parka:

I really wanted to like this and still do, but as a previous reviewer from Jan 31, 2018 said it snags and frays easily. Beautiful colour fabric but not strong enough for daily wear. I wear it to and from work and am sorry to say it looks old already.

Comments about Women|Outerwear|Parkas Women's Lodge Down Parka:

This parka is very nice looking and it's also warm. Unfortunately, a year after purchase, I'm looking for another. I like to go for walks, and find that if I'm carrying my keys in one pocket, my phone in the other, there's no room left for my hands unless I hold the keys and phone in each one. The interior pocket is ridiculous - I don't know what could fit in there aside from my license and maybe a credit card. It won't close with my phone in it (which would just fall out.) Also, the hood is weirdly small. It sits on top of my head, rather than coming forward to shield my face against the window and snow. You can pull the cords and cinch it tighter, which helps, but I really only want to put my hood up when going from my car into work or a store, so that's inconvenient. It's just a very weird design - I don't know any women who don't need pocket space in their winter coats (and my head is not particularly large!)

Comments about Women|Outerwear|Parkas Women's Lodge Down Parka:

I have had an Eddie Bauer parka for years. It has served me well, but now shows some wear. When I inadvertently got paint on it which cannot come off, I decided it was time to update. Simply put, this new parka is maybe 70% of the one I have had for at least a decade. I am disappointed in it. I do not believe the temperature rating as on its very first outing into a windy 22 degree Chicago street, I did not feel as warm as I should have with a sweater, shirt, and t underneath. The inside pocket is too small to be useful for anything...especially a cell phone. My other coat had a generous, secure inside pocket. The Eddie Bauer logo is displayed in a contrasting color so it cannot be ignored and looks less dressy.

Not the same Lodge Down Parka I bought in 2008 :(

            By AHM

Comments about Women|Outerwear|Parkas Women's Lodge Down Parka:

In 2008 I bought an Eddie Bauer Lodge Down Parka - it was my pride and joy, had 700 Fill Power Down, and kept me warm through Iowa winters. Sadly, after 10 years, it's looking a bit (a lot) worn, and I thought I'd replace it with exactly the same thing.

Sadly, I cannot. I stopped at my local Eddie Bauer store, and tried on the current coat. The basic styling is the same, but the coat isn't - first, it's only 650 Fill Power down. And after wearing it a few days, it just wasn't as warm. It also seemed to have a lot of down coming through the outer shell, and the fabric of that shell is less dense than my 2008 model.
And it was tight - I'm 5'6", 140lbs - my old one was a Large, to allow space for a blazer underneath. The new one, also a large, was too tight to do that. And I finally actually measured - the sleeves were over an inch smaller in diameter, and the torso nearly 2" smaller. And an XL was huge.
I returned it, and am still stretching my old parka through this winter. I even tried the Sun Valley parka, but it was no warmer, and didn't offer the snaps for easy closure. So sadly I'm looking elsewhere at this point.
