I love that it's not like all the other long coats you see people wear. I searched a long time and finally found it! My kids play outdoor sports here in Michigan and it gets cold in the fall and still in the spring.

I need different coats for mercurial Michigan weather. What works one day doesn't suit the next. I have knee length, extreme cold coats necessary for active snowstorms, wind and very low temperatures. I don't like to wear them on dry, less windy days but still need a warm coat to take a walk. This coat is shorter like other parkas but warmer and cozy for single digit and 20s temps. I add lined pants as needed. The materials are a bit more luxurious than the EB norm. I like the oversized hood. It stays put if you wear a hat or headband. You can pull it forward and keep the wind or sun off your face. It has nice, big pockets and looks great. It is not a sleek fit but also not too wide. Since I buy multiple coats, I order on sale to optimize the budget. This coat was a great value on sale given the materials and workmanship.
