An Eddie Bauer Original. This special limited edition jacket is a unique collaboration between two iconic American brands, Eddie Bauer and Pendleton. It combines the original Eddie Bauer down jacket, the Skyliner, with Pendleton's renowned National Park stripes to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the National Parks and to help support the National Park Foundation.
Pendleton created their first National Park stripe, Glacier Park, in 1916. They went on to develop stripes to represent several other parks, each with distinct patterns and colors to represent the qualities of that park.
The Eddie Bauer Skyliner Model jacket was the first down jacket patented in America. Its combination of warmth, light weight, and breathability revolutionized the outerwear industry. With this limited edition, the Skyliner is offered in a reversible design for the first time in its 80-year history.
One side is a rugged cotton/nylon shell in the signature Eddie Bauer diamond quilting pattern that holds in place the Premium Down insulation. The body of the other side is Pendleton wool in one of the classic National Park stripes. Black (Rainier), Dark Hunter (Rocky Mountain), Cadet (Yellowstone) Flax (Glacier).
Five percent of the sale of each jacket goes to the National Park Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the National Park Service. The Foundation's mission is to ensure that the legacy of our National Parks is preserved for the next generations.
Produced in very limited quanitities, and only in this single release, the special edition Eddie Bauer X Pendleton Skyliner is a once-in-a-lifetime garment that honors America's past while helping to preserve its future.
