Not what I'm looking for..

Comments about First Ascent|Women|Jackets & Vests Women's Downlight Alpine Jacket:

Not quite what I was looking for. It fits a little big on me as well. I am 5'6", 130 lbs and I was swimming in the small. It's a little too fluffy for my tastes and shapeless. Wish the wrists were like the storm light jacket cuffs too. I don't really like Velcro anything and I appreciate an elastic cuff to keep the wind out of my sleeves. Going to be taking back to my local store.

Almost perfect

Comments about First Ascent|Women|Jackets & Vests Women's Downlight Alpine Jacket:

I'm mildly dissapointed that the inside zip pocket is too small for my phone. It's perfect for a credit card or keys though. It's also hard to fit my phone into the outside pockets. Mine sticks out when I put it in sideways. I kind of have to jam it in there diagonally so it won't fall out or get wet. The inside mesh pocket is too low to get to anything without unzipping.

Also, the hood is ginormous! I know it's so a helmet will fit, but seriously you could stuff a football in there and there would still be room. It's kind of obnoxious when driving and it's a little hard to size down to wear when walking around.

But, the rest of it keeps me warm and fits really well. I've worn it in freezing rain and it's kept me dry. it's long enough to cover my bum and doesn't rid up when I get into my car.

Comments about First Ascent|Women|Jackets & Vests Women's Downlight Alpine Jacket:

It is lightweight but very warm. It has everything that I am looking for in a winter jacket. I especially like the make of the cuffs on the sleeves and the length of the jacket. I bought it to go hiking and backpacking. It packs down pretty small and is a good substitute for a pillow. I'm so glad I was able to buy one!
