Great Bag for Travel.

Comments about Expedition Drop-Bottom Rolling Duffel - Large:

I LOVE these duffels. I have the carry on size as well as this one. I travel for work and these get used and abused (used by me - abused by baggage handlers). When you pick them up on sale you can't beat the value - even if you pay full price they are worth every penny. I have had more expensive luggage and these are by far my favorite for work or personal travel. LOVE the drop bottom. And EB stands up to their guarantee: after over a year of constant work travel, the smaller one got a tear from what looked like some serious baggage handler abuse: looked like it got run over on the corner. EB happily exchanged it. Thumbs up all around.

Love this Duffel

Comments about Expedition Drop-Bottom Rolling Duffel - Large:

I have a set of this luggage for myself and liked it so much, my spouse bought a set, too. The two of us liked it so we bought a set for our daughter. We gave taken many trips overseas and I'm sure any other luggage would not have lasted as long. Some of our trips have been with touring companies where they were constantly handled by bus drivers, hotel porters, airline personnel, etc. This luggage has survived our many trips to Europe, Mexico, Costa Rica, and Canada. Years ago when I bought it, I was worried how sturdy it would be but it has turned out to be a workhorse. Our "liquids" have never arrived broken and even a bottle of wine arrived safely from Sweden. It took me a while to figure out that you need to pack heavy things (like shoes and books) on the bottom section of the duffle, near the wheels, in order to eliminate any concerns for tipping. I tend to overpack and exceed the airline limits on weight so this is a perfect solution for me because it's lighter than most suitcases. The durability design of this product is OUTSTANDING!

Comments about Expedition Drop-Bottom Rolling Duffel - Large:

Description says it's 26" x 16", but it's only 14" wide! Product demo showed medium size carry-on fitting inside the large, which is how I discovered the large I received isn't the stated dimensions. I tried to nest the medium in the large and it won't fit--they're the same width. So I paid for a smaller bag than stated and now I can't store it efficiently with the carry-on. Customer service suggested I send it back, reorder and see if the next one is the correct size. ??!!

Comments about Expedition Drop-Bottom Rolling Duffel - Large:

I just packed up my rolling duffel for a 2 yr stint to Uganda with the peace corps. I also bought an osprey pack but wish I would have
bought two EB rolling duffels instead. The large can really fit a lot in and the two compartments make it easy to fill one part with clothes and the other with misc items. The one downside is that when the top compartment is full, the bottom is hard to zipper without getting caught in the fabric, even after zipping with extreme care, this happened. On the plus side, I have been able to extricate the zipper from the fabric without too much effort, and it hasn't appeared to cause any damage. That said, it's always kinda stressful and frustrating when this happens. Still, not a deal breaker.
