Comments about First Ascent|Gear|Backpacks & Duffels Terrain 55 Pack:

Just what I was looking for. I'm a large man. So packing my clothes is often a real chore to get everything to fit for multi day adventures. This pack allows me to pack enough for five days plus gear in mid temperatures. Have not attempted to pack extreme weather gear yet. Will probably cut it to 3 days due to layering. Overall a great value and a great tool added to my gear.

Comments about First Ascent|Gear|Backpacks & Duffels Terrain 55 Pack:

I've done 2 trips with this pack so far. One winter (3 days) and one summer (5 days). I packed to much for both and still had plenty of room. You definitely need to find your sweet spot in the straps but its that way for all packs. Both trips were pretty rainy and my stuff in the pack stayed dry. Fair warning though is that mine had some overdye in the padding which stained my new jacket. Eddie Bauer was great in replacing it but you may want to wash the pack before using it. Plenty of space for all your ski touring gear if you're into it. Pots food and all. Did not sleep in a tent for either but a hammock and tarp fit really well. Thanks for making a great pack and for your amazing costumer service.

Comments about First Ascent|Gear|Backpacks & Duffels Terrain 55 Pack:

Took this on an overnight trip to test it out, and it was a good thing because I found out that the zippers leak. Unfortunate, but I just put everything into a waterproof bag inside and it was good to go. I hiked like that for a week long trip and the pack was comfortable and easy to move around in. The loops and straps on the outside made it easy to secure and balance gear too big to fit inside. Adding a flap over the zippers or just a waterproof zipper would make this even better.
