Comments about Heritage Goose Down Comforter - Medium:

I bought two of the "old" Full size med. warmth comforters with protectors during the 40% and 30% off sales. They arrive quite compressed after lengthy warehouse storage, so you need to spend some time fussing and fluffing to breath the life back into them. Helps to do this with backlighting from an overhead light or bright window to see where the down needs to be shifted a bit. But the effort is well worth it. Comfortably warm in a 62 degree room.
Not bulky sandwiched between a linen top sheet and a cotton eddie bauer quilted spread (last year clearance find). I like the 700 FP because it means warmth w/o bulk..it's a more modern look. And it's easier washing and drying at home. That's also why I snagged the "old" Full sizes on Clearance. They work well as a queen bed topper, too. I sleep solo so the only tug of war I worry about is with two Porties who also appreciate the soft warmth.

Comments about Heritage Goose Down Comforter - Medium:

I've always used electric blankets but an electrician friend scared me away from using them any more. So I went on the hunt for a really high quality down comforter. I LOVE EB's down jackets, so it seemed like a logical place to order a down comforter.

As temps finally dipped this past week, I got a chance to try it out. Sandwiched in a sheet-thin duvet I found online, I put it on my bed and set the heat thermostat to our preferred 62 degrees. We were plenty warm; it's incredible how much body heat this holds in. It felt very much like an electric blanket!

In my case, if the temp is going to stay above 65 degrees in my bedroom, this will be too warm. I plan to buy the lighter weight one for spring because now that I've been spoiled by the cloud-like feel (it's sooo much lighter weight than my cotton bedspread) I don't want to go back to sleeping under anything heavier.

Comments about Heritage Goose Down Comforter - Medium:

When my husband and I bought a new mattress, I decided to go all out and get all new bedding.... wanting nothing but the best! I did a lot of research on comforters.
I was a little skeptical as to how warm this comforter would keep us at night as we sleep with the room around 60*, and when it came in such a tiny box I was really uneasy because I knew if I used it I could not return it and I would have wasted all that money. But I decided I better try it and see. After one night I was in love with this comforter. It was so cozy. It is thin that's for sure! But I think I like that better than our old puffy one. It just looks better on the bed.
The only thing I don't like is that it doesn't have ties on the inside corners to secure the duvet cover that goes over it.
