Serious weather protection for those who demand high performance in a wide range of activities. The first number in its 10K/10K rating is the waterproofness; the fabric can withstand 10,000 mm of water suspended over its surface before moisture seeps through. The second number shows its breathability; it allows 10,000 grams of water vapor per square meter of fabric to escape in 24 hours.
Our durable water–repellent (DWR) finish causes moisture to bead up on the surface so it rolls off or evaporates rather than soaking into the fabric.
"This is my go–to mountain work jacket. It protects me from 100–mile–per–hour winds doing avalanche control work on high Sierra ridges and keeps the rotor wash out when the heli comes in for a pickup in the Chugach.”
