Comments about First Ascent|Men|Jackets & Vests Men's MicroTherm StormDown Hooded Jacket:

Use for walking in the morning good active jacket if you where long John's you can walk in this coat in 20 degree weather i didn't give this a five star because the wrist opening is to big and it seems like there made like that to fit over your gloves but The coat would be warmer if they had wrist cup inside to stop any cold air from getting inside

Comments about First Ascent|Men|Jackets & Vests Men's MicroTherm StormDown Hooded Jacket:

Would definitely buy this jacket again, wore it on a hike up Mt. Si temperatures were about 20deg F and kept toasty warm, I would only comment that as a slim person this fit well but if you have a bit of a gut this jacket will not zip up for you. It is a definitely a base layer and if it got really cold over here in Washington, I would feel comfortable layering this with a bigger bulkier coat on top.

    Fine with the moderate temperature

Comments about First Ascent|Men|Jackets & Vests Men's MicroTherm StormDown Hooded Jacket:

This jacket is fine with the temperate around 30F or 0C. Below that, I usually wear the thin down vest under the jacket. I originally ordered small but exchanged it with medium. Unfortunately, the customer service was extraordinarily slow. Eventually, I cancelled my exchange and ordered the medium.

    MicroTherm jacket

    By A

    from Iowa

Comments about First Ascent|Men|Jackets & Vests Men's MicroTherm StormDown Hooded Jacket:

I think this is a good jacket when bought at sale price. I paid less then $100 and am very happy with it for that price. I have been wearing it non stop for the last 2 months and am very happy with its ability to regulate temperature and how warm it can keep you in the cold. The only additions that I would like to see added to the jacket would be add a draw string to the bottom of this jacket and potentially improve the elastic for the cuffs. If you were paying full price for this jacket ($250) i would say there are better jackets on the market but at the current sale price it is a decent jacket.
