Comments about Men|Outerwear|Jackets Men's Rainfoil Packable Jacket:

This was a mall gift card purchase, and since my son works at another outfitter, not an easy choice. But it turned out to be a good purchase, a solid waterproof jacket that doubles as a shell for cool weather.
What did bother me is that my unit has the myclimate snap loops to accept a liner, but no such EB liners exist for separate purchase (inner layer units lack matching loops). I tried Customer Care, but they only admitted that this Rainfoil was prepped for a liner but never released due to quality issues with the proto liner. Well, it appears to be an "industry" issue; no other outfitter / brand offers 3-in-1 liners for separate sale any more. Too bad. Would be great to put what weight liner you need into any 3-in-1 unit. Oh, and an old Columbia fleece liner fits fine in my Rainfoil, loops match!

Comments about Men|Outerwear|Jackets Men's Rainfoil Packable Jacket:

I love the Rainfoil Packable Jacket. This is my go-to for my daily 14.3-kilometer bike commute and travels around the Philippines. We are tropical humid country so this jacket is just right for the conditions. It just sheds rain even on a downpour (I can say the same for my footwear and pants). Its breathable enough except when I increase the bike pace. I use it as a pillow on long bus rides. If there is a niggle, its the Velcro cuff. Its difficult to get out of when I slight cinch the strap due to the mesh lining. For Asians, get a size smaller that you are accustomed to. I'm using a Medium (it fits perfectly, not too large nor too small) rather than my usual Large.

Comments about Men|Outerwear|Jackets Men's Rainfoil Packable Jacket:

I urged my husband to get this jacket as we travel frequently and he had no rain gear. He is pleasantly surprised that it does not feel heavy but is lightweight and breathable. It acts like a wind breaker, is water repellent and will accommodate a warm layer underneath. The stow-able hood sold him on this particular jacket. The sleeves are long but all of EB sleeves seem to be long on him. We recently traveled to NYC where it was cool and rainy and the jacket performed well for him. He is 5'9", about 185#, and he chose the large size.

Comments about Men|Outerwear|Jackets Men's Rainfoil Packable Jacket:

Purchased similar jacket for Hubbie 10 years ago and only con with it was the Velcro tabs at wrist hardened over time and didn't stay closed. But overall "great" jacket and fit generously over clothing. He probably could have ordered Large instead of XL. Only reason we replaced prior jacket was due to the fact Hubbie lost it.
