Comments about Men|Pants|Active Pants Men's Guide Pro Alpine Pants:

These pants are my go to winter ascent pant, down hill skiing, XC skiing, snowshoeing pant. I have a more expensive Mammut climbing pant, but somehow these still end up being the pain I summit in. They regulate my temperature perfectly and block the windiest of weather. It doesn't seem to matter if I am riding a chair lift at 12,000 ft, traversing an ice field in 50 mph winds or trudging up a mountain in shoeshoes. These pants are perfect, the pockets are well thought out, my only minor complaint is that I am 5'9" 170lbs and the medium regular is almost too tight on my athletic legs. My Jean waist is 33" (but I wear 34") and my inseam is 32". A 33"x 33" would be my dream pant but I have yet to see that. Despite the almost too tight fit of the medium of these pants stretch perfectly and are comfortable on the trail.

Comments about Men|Pants|Active Pants Men's Guide Pro Alpine Pants:

My first thought was "these at a little tight for a medium!" For the record I am 5'9", 175lbs, 33" waist and a 30-32" inseam, and lastly I have a muscular back side. Then I wore these pants on a 4 mile snowshoeing trek. And...
          1. The pants felt great and never once restrictive.
          2. Kept me the perfect temperature when i was climbing or standing around photographing he view of the flattops.
These pants are right next to my more expensive Mammut Yocum Hybrid pants (which I also love). I like having to chose when it comes to pants that I use for summit attempts. I am a big fan.

          Great winter softshell pant

Comments about Men|Pants|Active Pants Men's Guide Pro Alpine Pants:

Great soft shell pant. It has performed very well for winter hiking and snowshoeing. Not an insulated pant so I add a lightweight base layer for temperature below freezing. Stays very warm during activity but not too hot. Stops the wind well.

              Quality fabric and construction.

The clip on the cuff to attach to shoelaces makes for a nice improvised gaiter such that I'm not even bothering with bringing real gaiters.
