Comments about First Ascent|Men|Jackets & Vests Men's Downlight StormDown Hooded Jacket:

I bought this jacket as a possible replacement for an older EB down hoping not to like it. Once I put this jacket on there was no going back to my old one. I've had this jacket for just under a year and love it. It fits me perfectly and has a cozy feel to it. It does tend to have an athletic fit which is what I prefer. I use it for venturing around in the woods on very cold days along with Snow blowing my driveway. I always feel very comfortable in it. Perfect for conditions at or above -15.

Comments about First Ascent|Men|Jackets & Vests Men's Downlight StormDown Hooded Jacket:

I was looking for a warm jacket that wasn't bulky and that I could wear when it was cold but not freezing. I have a heavy down coat for when it's really cold out, but it's very bulky and uncomfortable to wear in the car or when moving around a lot. This down is fairly lightweight, as the name implies. It's great to wear alone when the weather is around 40F or even colder if I'm working up a sweat. The fit is quite tight in the waist, which I really like - it fits close to the body but there is still plenty of room underneath for a lightweight fleece. I also like that the hood isn't huge. The pocketsand upper torso have a soft lining that feels great. I'm 6'2" and the tall size is great.

Comments about First Ascent|Men|Jackets & Vests Men's Downlight StormDown Hooded Jacket:

picked this up for a very reasonable price at an Eddie Bauer Outlet. Spotted it on a clearance rack after I had already decided on another jacket but decided to give it a try. Fit was darn near perfect for me to wear over a hoodie. Arms had plenty of room for shoulder articulation. length is perfect. (I got an TXL) I'm 6'1" about 260LBS with fairly broad shoulders and this fits me perfectly. I took it out for a few miles last weekend in 45 degree temps and stayed warm (warm enough to need to unzip a little) and comfortable all day.
