    Okay

Comments about First Ascent|Men|Jackets & Vests Men's BC Igniter Jacket:

I bought this jacket as a replacement for my original Igniter jacket that I really loved. This jacket is less warm. I think that it has less Primaloft. I live in MN and really don't consider this to be a winter jacket like my last one. Also, I don't really understand why it needs to be waterproof. I never had an issue with water soaking through my original jacket. In my opinion 10/10 waterproofness is not breathable enough to be comfortable. I am either overheated or too cold in the this jacket. Eddie if you are listening, please bring back the original ingiter. I will buy two or three of them.

A good in town jacket - not backcountry

Comments about First Ascent|Men|Jackets & Vests Men's BC Igniter Jacket:

I bought this on discounted clearance so I am happy to use as a town coat for going to hockey games and such in inclement weather. I can not recommend it as a backcountry coat because it does not breathe. Tested it out a couple of times this winter on brisk walks and shoveling. Brought it along on hikes to use during lunch breaks. If it had the large chest zippered pockets with a mesh lining like the old Microtherm BC I think this could be an outstanding jacket. I think that style of ventilation would work better rather than adding pit zips to the design. Currently the only way to ventilate is to leave the wrist velcro loose and open the main zipper. Without some way to ventilate the jacket better I can't see this as a First Ascent product. I think it is an excellent town coat. I am 5 foot 9 and 190 pounds and the Large fits well.

Comments about First Ascent|Men|Jackets & Vests Men's BC Igniter Jacket:

Waterproof so far, toasty warm. Just finished 5 days snowboarding at Whistler in very mixed conditions (sun, rain, snow, wind, and combos of all the above). Jacket performed very well, although there is a small hole in the front and I've been noticing threads coming out near the front zipper. Seems like only so so durability and craftsmanship. Overall, I'm happy, but doubt this jacket will hold up to real mountain wear and tear. It fits me pretty well (6'2", 225), although def not an athletic fit. I had to add a piece to cinch the bottom elastic, maybe mine was a return and lost the cinch thing.
