Bought this for my boyfriend. This parka will keep you warm in the coldest weather. The "fur" on the hood is removable if you don't care for that. Waterproof fabric keeps you nice and dry. Fits true to size.

Excellent value and functionality, even at full price. I was lucky to catch a 40% off sale last month. This jacket is very warm, especially if you adjust the hood sufficiently. It's sized for layering, which suited me perfectly. The Eddie Bauer sizing scheme fits me better than other brands I tried. I'm 5'7" 190 lbs with a 43" chest and the large size fits me just fine. The double zipper works well, unlike other parkas I've tried. The collar is very useful for the cold and could be zippered all the way up, if need be. The cuffs were excellent. Minor quibble - the velcro of the cargo pocket flap sticks too quickly at times. I opened it and just when I was about to put something in the pocket, I accidentally hit the flap and it shut like a vault door :) Annoying but not a deal-breaker.

Overall I like this coat a lot. Very warm, stylish, functional, and when on sale, a great value.

I agree with other reviewers about the interior fabric doesn't feel great against skin, whether it be arms (if wearing shortsleeves under the coat) or at the neck. Cmon EB, you can do better than that. Add $5 to the cost of the coat so we can have a decent liner at least at the neck.

The lower pockets are kind of annoying. The coarse plastic zipper doesn't have a flap to keep it out of the way of your hands, so when you have your hands in the pockets, they chafe on the zipper. This part is probably the cheapest-feeling part of the coat to me.

Regarding sizing, I regularly wear large shirts and according to the EB sizing chart I should be a large (44" chest, 35" arms, 36" waist). I ordered a large but it was huge! Could have fit two of me in the abdomen area. I exchanged it for a medium, which fits perfectly. Even the shoulder seams fall at the correct place.
