Live Your Adventure®

Two superior, ultralight performers in one. Windproof Pertex® ripstop polyester shell and lining. Reverses from dark, low-profile color to bright, high-visibility color. PrimaLoft® Gold insulation is highly compressible, and jacket packs down into interior chest pocket for easy transport. Designed as the "action side," the bright face has a single chest pocket but no hand pockets because these would be inaccessible when wearing a pack with hip belt. Reducing the pockets on this side also helps keep overall weight to a minimum and ensures exceptional, low-bulk packability.

"Reversibility is super cool. I'm always traveling and like the option of light and dark. From testing in Rocky Mountain National Park and Alaska, I'm giving it 4+ stars."

Not warm, regardless of what others say.

Comments about Men's IgniteLite Reversible Jacket:

I'm a male 36 years old. I've worn this "jacket" for a month or so as a midlayer outside in the cold, rain, and wind. The weather is about 30F normally lately. This jacket does not keep you even remotely warm. If i switch out to a down jacket, I notice significantly more warmth. It weighs nothing and is very compressible, which are nice. For me, the only point of a midlayer is to keep me warm. This fails at that.

Just What I Needed

By Steve-o

from Texas

Comments about Men's IgniteLite Reversible Jacket:

Bought this jacket on clearance after Christmas with an extra 40% off. At that price it's an unbelievable bargain when compared to some other high-end brands at $200 plus. I purchased this jacket to wear while bike riding in very cold weather and it works perfectly. It is windproof and very warm for its weight and low bulk. My last ride was in twenty-five degree temps and 20 MPH winds and I was very comfortable - maybe even a little too warm toward the end. I also have used this a a general hiking jacket and with a base and fleece layer I was very comfortable in temps in the low teens. Overall, I am very pleased with the quality, versatility and design of the jacket.

Great Warmth/Weight Ratio and Value

By Abe

from Alaska

Comments about Men's IgniteLite Reversible Jacket:

This is a fantastic jacket as long as you are not looking for something breathable or a jacket with all the bells and whistles. The Primaloft in this jacket has the best warmth to weight ratio of any jacket in the market. Pair that with great wind and water resistance and you get an extremely warm jacket. I am currently plenty warm wearing this jacket in Alaska, where the high today is around 10F, with a mid-weight fleece and tee-shirt on underneath. My purpose for buying this jacket is to have a warm mid-layer to go under my shell for resort skiing, but this jacket will probably end up also being my everyday jacket when temps drop below 20F.

I am a bit of a gear junkie and outdoor enthusiast so my complaints are actually fairly extensive, but they're all fairly trivial. I wish there were more colors to choose from and and that it has the non-stitched look on both sides (go ahead and roll your eyes). I would have also sacrificed the couple of ounces to put hand pockets on the "action" side above harness line. Finally, probably the least trivial complaint due to the warmth of the jacket is that I wish there were pit zips to release excess heat.

As far as fit, I usually wear extra large tops with most manufacturers; I have a large Downlight StormDown jacket from 2015 that fits tighter than this jacket (which I find to be true-to-size). My chest usually fits 44-46" jackets, but this jacket in a large fits me comfortably even when wearing multiple layers, so the fit is pretty big as compared to their specifications.

Bottom line - this jacket performs on par with the other brands that generally cost 30-50% more than the sticker price. If you are looking for a very warm, weatherproof, minimalist jacket, you should take a serious look at this jacket and it is almost a no-brainer when discounted. I recommend this jacket over the StormDown jackets as well.
