Go lean and green. Windproof Pertex® ripstop shell and lining are made with recycled polyester. PrimaLoft® Gold Eco insulation is 55% recycled, and highly compressible, so jacket packs down into interior chest pocket for easy transport. Reversible design lets you choose from two contrasting colors, one quilted, one smooth-finished. The smooth "action side" has a single chest pocket but no hand pockets because these would be inaccessible when wearing a pack with hip belt. Reducing the pockets on this side also helps keep overall weight to a minimum and ensures exceptional, low-bulk packability.
Active: Our most athletic fit. Close to the body without restricting mobility. Designed to fit over baselayers and lightweight midlayers.

Comments about First Ascent|Women|Jackets & Vests Women's IgniteLite Reversible Hooded Jacket:
Not as slimming (athletic fit) as the microthemo line. Baggy ang bulky. I can wear it (size small) on top of my microthermo jacket (also size small).

Comments about First Ascent|Women|Jackets & Vests Women's IgniteLite Reversible Hooded Jacket:
Comfort: Even though this jacket isn't particularly warm, I love it and reach for it first, to use like a sweater, instead of my fleece "sweater-jackets". It slips on smoothly over other layers.
Temperature rating: I was cold sitting still at 50 degrees, near a campfire. This jacket absolutely NEEDS other layers to be warmer, even when you are active. To me, this jacket does NOT deserve a -15 degree rating. If you are hiking, and have a long-sleeve shirt and a warm neck warmer, it is comfortable down to the low 30's. It is not a wind breaker and does not resist rain, even a little bit.
I recommend this jacket as a sweater, not a warm winter jacket.

Comments about First Ascent|Women|Jackets & Vests Women's IgniteLite Reversible Hooded Jacket:
I have both the black and the white jackets, and I wear them everywhere. Lightweight--wears almost like a sweater and easily packs up in a bag. If I am very cold, I wear both at the same time. My 14 year old kept borrowing my black jacket so I just got her a petite version. The fit of this jacket is very flattering as well. The medium regular fits me perfectly. I am 5'8 and about 138 lbs. This jacket probably works best for a California climate, although I'm now wearing it in Utah. The hood is worth having. I appreciate the reversibility.

Had a vest in this line and added a jacket. Hardly feel it on you and keeps a late summer chill off.
