Winter and Summer!

Comments about Men|Pants|Active Pants Men's Guide Pro Pants:

Wow, these guide pants! I have worn these from hiking this summer to using these on the slopes when I was still in the market for buying ski pants. When the conditions were in the 20's on the slopes, I used these coupled with long underwear for a very flexible fit on the ski slopes. They didn't stay perfectly dry on a day that was about 35 and a lot of moisture on the chair lift that ended up bleeding through but I consider it's use was extreme for the slopes. It really shines during the other three seasons for hiking and other trail activities. I highly recommend these. Very flexible and a custom fit for much lower price.

Great pants! Bad place for the logo!!

Pros

  • Most comfortable pant of all time!

Comments about Men|Pants|Active Pants Men's Guide Pro Pants:

These pants were perfect last year. This year, someone who obviously doesn't wear these pants enough, decided to place the"Ascent" logo in the middle of the front of the thigh!!! Now I can't get away with wearing them as a dress pant to church. I had to paint the logo to hide it. ( Not good) Please EB, take the logo to the back of the pant next run!

Outstanding pants - a great value

      By Rodc

Comments about Men|Pants|Active Pants Men's Guide Pro Pants:

These are outstanding pants. I have used them around town, day hiking, backpacking, rock climbing and summer technical mountaineering in the Alps. Super comfortable and functional and are holding up very well. Shed light rain and mist well - but do not confuse with rain pants.

I have many more-or-less similar pants, but I bought a large phone which did not fit well in my older pants. The thigh pocket was perfect. These have become my go to outdoor pants other than in true winter conditions.

I use the shorter 30in inseam version for rock climbing when I want good vision of toe placement or with heavy tall boots, and the 32in inseam version otherwise. Nice to have the choice.

I might even use in light duty winter outing, but like all zippered pockets when out in snow.

Great pants, I bet you will love them!

      Great pants, bad zippers!

      By Colorado Keo

      from Colorado

Comments about Men|Pants|Active Pants Men's Guide Pro Pants:

I have numerous pairs of these pants in both lined and unlined. We live in the mountains in Colorado and I wear these pretty much everyday. If it were not for the poor quality zippers these would be the best ever outdoor pants. Of the 6 pairs I own the zippers on the cargo and back pockets have blown out on all but one pair within the first year. I took them to my local tailor and had them replaced with good quality zippers and all are good to go. It is kind of bad to have to pay an additional $15 on top of the regular price to have quality zippers put in. For the price point it would be nice if EB would put in better quality zippers. I would recommend the pants to my friends, but advise them to be ready to replace the zippers.
