Everything you need in a boot

Comments about Men|Shoes|Boots Eddie Bauer Severson Plain Toe:

Love these boots, I've been wearing them almost every day since I got them. The odd thing was that I wore a 7.5 for another pair of Eddie Bauer boots, but the 7.5 for these felt really tight at first. This pair of boots did loosen up a little bit once I walked in them. Other than that, they didn't require much breaking in at all.

So sturdy and perfect for everyday use, even in the snow and rain. They've turned out to be great motorcycle riding shoes as well.

Like the Severson Plain toe

Comments about Men|Shoes|Boots Eddie Bauer Severson Plain Toe:

I bought the color brown in a 12 women size. I usually wear a 12 medium in Brooks sneakers and I own Merrell boots in size 11 med width. The 12 in these boots are to big and wide. Although I do have a narrow instep which could be the reason they are too wide for me mostly on the top of the foot. I am returning them for a smaller size to see if they work. They are great looking and seem very well made.

Comments about Men|Shoes|Boots Eddie Bauer Severson Plain Toe:

True to size. When I go to a good shoe store and get measured I am a 7 1/2, although for some reason many shoes I buy run small and I end up buying an 8. This is truly a 7 1/2 on me. My pinky toe is getting a little squished, maybe the boots will stretch and it will feel better. Being fairly new, I'd say they are moderately narrow. They offer great stability, but poor to moderate arch support so I could not wear these everyday. I bought dark brown, very nice looking, scuffs easily. They look and feel very well made. If I had a job where I had to stand all day, these would be very comfortable, as far as walking all day, they'd be more comfortable if they would stretch just a tiny bit.

Comments about Men|Shoes|Boots Eddie Bauer Severson Plain Toe:

I just bought a pair of these before hiking for 4 days in Alabama, and I have zero regrets. It was hotter than all get out, but the boots never felt like an oven as sometimes happens with less breathable boots. They were very light and comfy, and when I wore them around the house to break them in I found that they didn't actually need it. I wore them for all 4 days with complete comfort. I wore tall socks because I'm not an animal, and I didn't notice a single spot that the boots rubbed or caused any discomfort at all. I was actually expecting a blister or two while they broke in but that never happened. I walked through water and the only leakage I noticed was when water would come up to the laces it could sneak in on the creases on either side. But even then it was very minimal amounts of water. The ankle support is also fantastic I had no issues with a rolled ankle or anything. The only thing I could see being a drawback about this boot for some is that the serious hikers/backpackers may want a lighter more minimal boot with a vibram sole. Other than that though, I would recommend this for both hiking and trekking through snow.
