Comments about Men's BC Ultralight Jacket:

this jacket is okay for light drizzle but for down pour this jacket and its dwr repellent just doesnt work. I wore my EB first ascent jacket during a recent down pour the back of my neck and upper shoulders were damp. ive owned this jacket for 2 years i much prefer my cabela's guide wear rain jacket over the EB jacket.

Great Jacket

Comments about Men's BC Ultralight Jacket:

I bought this jacket (an earlier version of it) over 5 years ago and it is just awesome. It's light weight so it's easy to pack for a trip, while hiking, or in my bag to work. I have worn this jacket everywhere for the past 5 years whenever it rains and it never fails. I have stood for 2 hours in an absolute downpour to watch a football game and my upper body was bone dry. I have sat through countless soccer games, hikes, bike rides and it never let's me down. It runs a little large which is great because I can put a light down EB jacket or fleece underneath it and stay warm and dry. Without a liner it's great in the summer because it vents through pockets and jackets and isn't too warm. My son is headed of to college this fall and we will be sending one with him. It is one of my favorite EB products and an awesome value if you can pick it up on sale.

Comments about Men's BC Ultralight Jacket:

I have owned a couple of EB jackets and their WeatherEdge waterproof membrane fails a barrier from wet conditions. I really wanted to like these jackets, as the fit is good, layers well and is very light weight. But for the wet conditions we have in the NW, this fabric soaks through rather quickly and gets worse over time. After of year of moderate use this jacket soaks through within an hour of light sprinkles. I have other hard shells that I can wear in hard rain all day and stay dry. For the money and the hype, I would expect more. If you need a real performing hard shell look for Goretex Pro products.

Comments about Men's BC Ultralight Jacket:

My son looks great in this and it has held up well to being stuffed in a backpack, dragged through the dirt, etc. It feels like good quality fabric. It's medium weight, good for a light rain or a windy day that isn't too cold. Layers well over a fleece.
