A burly jacket rated to 20K/30K, ideal for staying warm and dry on big peaks in cold smoke ski conditions. And this year with we've updated it with a waterproof/breathable, windproof Cocona® fabric shell that maximizes the evaporation rate of liquid sweat into vapor form for more efficient wicking performance. Lined with MicroTherm™ down in the top body and top sleeve for exceptional lightweight warmth, and 60-gram PrimaLoft® One in the lower body/sleeve, hood, and underarm to keep insulating, even when wet, in these exposed areas.

Serious weather protection for those who demand high performance in a wide range of activities. The first number in its 10K/10K rating is the waterproofness; the fabric can withstand 10,000 mm of water suspended over its surface before moisture seeps through. The second number shows its breathability; it allows 10,000 grams of water vapor per square meter of fabric to escape in 24 hours.

MicroTherm™ Down

MicroTherm is First Ascent's lightest, warmest down construction, which pairs high quality 800 fill with some of the narrowest channel baffling in the outdoor industry. The narrow-channel construction prevents down migration and keeps the fill more evenly distributed throughout the garment—minimizing the cold spots and filling voids that could allow body heat to escape. This elevates the overall thermal value of MicroTherm to an extremely high degree, meaning more warmth for the same weight, reducing overall bulk and allowing for easier layering as well as greater packability. We like to emphasize it's the warmest, lightest down we've ever made.

Primaloft® ONE Insulation

The ultimate microfiber insulation. Ultrafine fibers are specially treated in a patented process and then combined into an insulating core that's soft, lightweight and water-resistant. PrimaLoft One absorbs three times less water, is 14% warmer when dry and 24% warmer when wet than competitive insulation.
